I’m Aaron Gutierrez, a Democrat running for Colorado State Senate District 3. As a lifelong Puebloan, attorney, and former public defender, I’ve seen firsthand how state laws impact real people — from veterans in treatment court to small business owners navigating complex regulations. I’m running to bring Pueblo’s voice to Denver with experience, integrity, and a deep commitment to justice and opportunity.

 

My journey — from surviving brain cancer in college to advocating for families in courtrooms and policy rooms alike — has shaped my dedication to service. I’ve worked at every level: as a business owner, a public policy fellow in D.C., and a volunteer for organizations that uplift our youth and underserved communities.

 

I’m not running for a title — I’m running to deliver real solutions for crime, homelessness, and economic growth. Pueblo deserves a fighter who understands our community and knows how to get things done.
